the correct answer is basketball. shit is frustrating to watch. so i stopped lol. except for olympic basketball. i love that shit. limited timeouts, only the coach can call them, no such thing as an under 8 or under 4. if you can't get the ball thrown in your ass better lob it and hope it turns out alright. that's the way it should be imo. fucking 8 timeouts per half per team gimme a break.

Its one of the goofiest and hardest to watch but IMO baseball is more boring.

College football is even worse. 4 hours to play the game and the schedules are jokes so most of the games are exhibitions/set up games. There are like two or three that matter for each team.

NHL - The refereeing in the playoffs is different than in the regular season. It makes the league a joke.

NBA - The structure of the league makes it so that at any given time there are a handful of teams that have any chance of winning the championship, and the salary cap system makes no sense (not to mention contributes to the previous problem). Also they need to overhaul the time out system. It is just bad for viewers when there are like 4 time outs in the last minute of the game.

While I do think soccer is awful, that's not why I put major in quotes. I did it because it's kind of a loose definition of "major," basically just what I consider to be major.

-every goal feels like it's a big deal
-elite level soccer leagues can have some pretty incredible build-up play
-modern-day soccer have the best balance between skill, talent, physicality, endurance, and agility required
-is the most diverse sport. All regions are capable of producing top tier players.
-most enjoyable international tournament of any sport (World Cup)
-45 minute halves with only 15 minutes of commercials without frequent interruptions
-no drafts
-isn't bogged down by overly technical rules
-best balance between positions
-players don't need to be physical strong (football), or tall (basketball) to succeed (i.e the game doesn't have a bias for select physiques).
-plenty of continental tournaments
-best commentators
-one of the oldest sports with a far deeper history
-does a far better job at uniting a country than any other sport (even if your country is mediocre at it).

They already overhauled the timeout system though. Used to only be allowed 2 in the last 2 min but now its 2 in the last 3. Theres not much else to do because its part of the strategy with being able to advance the ball.

make it like olympic style. if you can't get the ball inbounded that's your fault. you're a professional. you shouldn't need timeouts to bail you out. <3 olympic basketball.
