Called Anyhow by Seotaiji And The Boys. I used to listen to them as a kid, but listening to them now, they were doing some really fascinating shit. Very playful hip-hop that sorta dives into this sick almost neoclassical metal era type of guitar solo in the middle that really catches you unaware

It was also covered by who I think is one of the best modern singers in Korea atm Ha Hyun Woo

Who goes sorta full Power Metal style vocal with it and adds a much higher singing prowess and power at the cost of losing the sick solo :P.

Kinda feels like a song pretty ahead of its time, but Korea's music didn't really stem from Seotaiji And The Boys, as famous as they were back in the days. They've moved to ballads and R&B and lost that hip-hop flair to considerably less talented musicians. But this is a nostalgic revisit that I didn't expect to appreciate this much

Seo Taiji made one of the best Korean albums a few years ago (2014?) called Quiet Night.

It's so whimsical and bubbly. It's like a Wes Anderson movie in music form.

It was his last thing though and it was five years ago. I think he's pretty much retired from active performing/recording now. He just runs his own label now.

A YG executive (who used to be in Seotaiji And The Boys) is under fire for the Burning Sun sex scandal and for influencing police reports to hide one of their artist's drug usage.

Yeah I did know the exec of one of the big labels (or at least one of the 3 big guys that I don't really have memorized) was a former Seotaiji and the Boys guy. That's pretty sad that he was one of the people under fire for that whole shebang. Pretty crazy what happened considering they were always in plain sight in the shows I watch with my family.
