They've been hinting about a big event announcement tomorrow. Mephisto has been showing up with more and more regularity, and there have been a bunch of OMD references in recent Amazing Spider-Man apparently.

The worst part for me is that the events between Civil War were leading to an interesting road for Spider-Man, kind of painting him as an anti-hero, and occasionally villain. One more day was bad but the series had been stale and not very entertaining for an entire decade up to that point. The stories that came after it felt interesting and fresh in comparison, so I think that it was necessary
