In my opinion of course. And while I do have SF at the bottom, its worth noting that SF3 is fantastic.

It was hard to choose between Zero and BN, but I find myself going back to the Zero games more.

I think Classic edges out X because its more consistent in quality. The best X games are really, really good, but the bad ones are very bad. The Classic series doesnt have a single bad entry imo, though some are more underwhelming than others.

Legends and ZX are both good, but were both cut tragically short and never had a chance to live up to their full potential.

The story was the pits, the graphics and audio were cheap (Mega Man VA, ugh), the new character designs were dumb, etc etc

But what's important here is that it has by far the best combat, bosses and enemies in any (old school) FF-style RPG I've ever played.

Command Mission is fuckin' awesome

Star Force is a mixed bag.

I have a soft spot for SF1. The gameplay is a little basic but the story is really charming and I think it has the best OST of the 3. Its a fun little game.

SF2 is not very good. The game kinda drags and the combat feels more sluggish imo. I cant even count the amount of times you have to run back and forth across the sky wave.

SF3 is generally agreed upon to be the best. The gameplay basically reaches its full potential here, and the combat is the most fast paced. Super fun game.
