I'd say 4x4, but I don't know the torque split. Might be 35/65 front/rear, because the rear legs are stronger and are even used as a means of defense/attack when they grab on and kick claws into stuff. The actual percentage is a mystery to me.

A displacer beast is a 6x6 variant.

Quadrupeds generally use the front limbs for balance, with the "power" in the rear, with the difference generally decreasing as size increases.
