I'm playing a 2009 game and have a little bit of pop-in/draw distance issue. Nothing horrible but I'm curious what setting helps with this most.
I don't have the best hardware either but it is my first gaming PC I wanted to get my feet wet first before I dive in. i7-4785T 16gb RAM GeForce GPU (9.732GB) Play on 58" Samsung LED Any advice is appreciated. --- "If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." "GeForce GPU (9.732 GB)" tells us little about your specs. That could easily be something as low as a GT x30 or worse which would explain your draw distance issues. Open your Nvidia control panel or run dxdiag (Win+R) and tell us what you specifically have.
And assuming that it is just a setting error, it would be listed with a name like LOD Distance which controls when a simplified distant model becomes detailed as you get closer to it. Setting this too far would cause the simplified model to disappear before the detailed model has a chance to be rendered if your GPU is too weak to handle many objects at once. Setting this too close has the side effect of in-game objects without a simplified model not rendering until you are practically on top of it. --- Hmm... ... Copied to Clipboard!
