Tooie on the other hand, I get burnt out on it after like 3 levels. Everything takes so god damn long. Levels are too big and samey and confusing. I appreciate what they tried to do with the interconnecting levels, but why oh why did they make them gigantic?! And there isn't nearly enough stuff to fill the massive levels. Never played Nuts & Bolts Grunty's Revenge is eh. Banjo works best in 3D Pilot is actually a somewhat unique Mario Kart clone, and it's not without its flaws, but it's really not THAT bad. --- Nintendo Network ID: papercups 3DS FC: 4124 5916 9925 ... I didnt play Tooie until years after it was considered better, and I instantly knew everyone was wrong the minute I started playing it. It doesnt even come close to the original Kazooie

Original is far superior
Issues could have been handled better had they kept musical notes at one note per pick up. Also better mobility options for larger levels, like cannons. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I prefer Kazooie over Tooie also, although I like them both. Only played through Tooie once start to finish and Kazooie four times.

I like all Banjo Kazooie games.
Even Pilot and Grunty's Revenge which are both kinda neat games in their own right. And Nuts & Bolts is basically Minecraft on wheels. Tooie might be my favourite because I like the complexity. I love DK64 too though. Underrated game. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Kazooie was charming, whimsical, polished, and really well-designed.
Tooie basically screwed the same things up design-wise that DK64 did - way too much backtracking, unintuitive level design, and some areas that are just super-frustrating to navigate (Tooie's factory level may be some of the worst level design I've ever seen in a 3D platformer). It's not a bad game, but it's a pale imitation of the original. I've played through Kazooie 100% at least 20 times; I only beat Tooie's final boss once (I think I started new games twice after a few years, but it just gets to be a slog halfway through the game, so I didn't finish either one). --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Yeah Rare is known for making the best 3D platformers for N64. And while they are, really the only one that held up was Banjo-Kazooie.
DK64 is waaay too repetitive. You basically have to replay every level 5 times. And an top of that you have to keep switching characters over and over, and it's extremely tedious. Tooie is ridiculously big and spread out. Conker, while hilarious, the cutscenes just get in the way of the gameplay and flow, and it doesn't really feel rewarding to get a cutscene like it does to find a Jiggy. I wish Twelve Tales wasn't deleted. :( --- Nintendo Network ID: papercups 3DS FC: 4124 5916 9925 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Rare remade Twelve Tales into Bad Fur Day because people were complaining it looking too similar to other games they've made starring cute and friendly animals like Banjo Kazooie though.
Still, I'm kinda sad we never got more Conker games : / --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Tooie is the far superior game. Kazooie feels empty and lacking in comparison.

Rare remade Twelve Tales into Bad Fur Day because people were complaining it looking too similar to other games they've made starring cute and friendly animals like Banjo Kazooie though. It's actually kind of crazy how much footage and info actually exists about Twelve Tales. Like some gaming magazines had walkthroughs for early levels. And some collectors have Twelve Tales dev carts. But, unfortunately, the carts require dev hardware with the ROM loaded on to play, and nobody has ever found one of those machines. So, the game might actually be lost forever. =( --- Nintendo Network ID: papercups 3DS FC: 4124 5916 9925 ... Copied to Clipboard!
