To clarify, if you choose the power you will be able to freeze time but not the power to unfreeze time. Time itself will natural unfreeze itself after a year of being frozen. To keep track of how long until time unfreezes, you will be given a clock that works when time is frozen. You will not age during this one year break. To entice the idea a a bit more, you will be able to bring up to four other people with you when you freeze time so long as they all are touching you when you do so.

1.) Running water yes, electricity yes, internet no.

2.) The sun will stay in the same position which is why the clock is provided. Whatever weather condition you are in is what will remain for the year. For example if its raining when you freeze time, the rain will stop falling but rather stay suspended midair. In more extreme cases such as a tsunami or tornado, the tsunami will be suspended in whatever posistion it was in and the tornado will have stopped spinning but visibly be there.

3.) No cameras will not be recording

4.) In this scenario running water works so yeah toilets will also work along with showers and sinks.

Theres no cool down. After your year is up you can freeze time again if you want.

But I think I would go with that. I mean even if I only ever use it once, I could obtain enough information or outright steal more then enough in a year to make up the 100k.

The only problem would be my mental well being. I mean yay time is frozen... But for an entire year? That's kind of an entire year by myself if I have to do it spontaneously.

That could be really really rough on a person.

But still going everywhere and seeing everyone just frozen day after day unable to connect if you wanted?

I honestly couldnt even see myself using this for trivial things.

First time to amass wealth, Id do this by myself. Problem with this though is finding a way to explain all the profit you gained in what everyone else would see as a second.

Any other time would be like a rare occurrence such as saving someone or to evacuate in the case of a natural disaster.

My question for you guys is how would you legally and logically explain all the money you made if you use the power to get rich.

I suppose one way would be to find a realtor who signed the rights to house just bought and is about to give the paper to the person who is buying the house and signing it in their stead. This having just got a free house.

But what about money? If you steal a bunch of bills how are you going to explain to the banks where you got the money when you exchange it?

Idk. I'm not some kind of tax evasion expert, but I would never deposit the money. Keep all my transactions limited to cash. Buy prepaid visa cards. I wouldn't immediately make a change in lifestyles. Keep it gradual. Just live comfortably ya know.

If you're worried about taxes then don't get on their radar with big purchases and living a completely different life seemingly overnight. It's not that tough if you take some of your frozen year to think a little you can explain it pretty easily.

Hell, just go to a casino and place a big bet on roulette, freeze time just before the ball stops and make sure it 'lands' on black or red or whatever you bet. I'd say don't bet on specific numbers because that would be tougher to make look natural when time unfreezes. There are tons of 'legitimate' ways to explain a sudden influx of money if given enough time to set it up.
