So I work in a start-up with very few devs. My backend guy's been bitching that test datas that I create manually (because he refuses to create them himself because he's a lazy fuck) are messing up his data, so he keeps deleting them. I requested countless times for them to create test data so I can create a freaking release that doesn't have unexpected bugs from unexpected server response lmfao. Also some things were basically just impossible to test because there was literally no account on the server with the data to test it (let alone me having to freaking log into other user's accounts to test things usually lmfao).

I mean, I worked in other places where at least a very basic test data or even like sample response and data were usually available to me. So is my backend guy just being a bitch? Is test data supposed to be standard practice for backend people to do for most of their endpoints or queries or responses and whatnot? Or am I just supposed to assume from a halfassed documentation that I had to create and enforce for everyone that keeps missing data because my backend guy is lazy as fuck?
