Depends. Some people like the very small or no people weddings. Like eloping. Though, having no one at your funeral might mean you outlived everyone else...

I wouldn't know if nobody showed to my funeral.

It's not like funerals are for the deceased anyway, they're to being closure to family and friends.

For me, it's funeral, especially since I'm not getting married. I already know that no one would come to my funeral. Instead, upon my death, everyone would be celebrating and jumping for joy.

My reasoning is that I'd want the bare minimum in the UK, which is my body wrapped up in a cloth and buried 2ft so the foxes can't get at it; the only issue is having nobody to do the burial, but I imagine it could be arranged.

Wedding, because I will actively tell my family that I'm not having a funeral but a life celebration(and an excuse for them to drink to having my crotchety ass gone).

Not like I'm ever going to have a wedding either but the point remains.

Wedding. It isn't that uncommon for no one to go to a funeral especially if you had no kids and your sibling if you had one have no kids, and even more so if you never got married or out lived your wife. Like no one at your funeral might just be you lived to be 117 or something >_>

You can get married for almost nothing if you go to your local county court house.

But even the most basic funeral is insanely expensive. My grandfather's funeral cost about $7500, and that was 15 years ago, and the cemetery plot, headstone and honor guard were free (retired Marine) as was the minister's services (head usher at his church), and we picked the cheapest available non-cardboard coffin. Even a direct cremation with no services at all runs several thousand dollars.
