lol I remember that the vampire's castle that had these dog enemies that KO'd my team when I tried 4x braving

Liking so far. Story is derivative, but fun and so far very fast paced. Combat is simple, but at least the grind is way better with brave. Job system is nice, and I like the town building aspect, though not the awkward online portion.

Safe to say I love this game.

How far have you gotten and what does your team look like?

Oh yeah, create multiple save files.

Don't me like me who had his save corrupted 55 hours in.

I never actually finished the game because of that.

I just saved the wind crystal and got the time mage and spell fencer.

Edea is currently going between Thief and Monk, both level 5. Tiz just switched from level 6 Knight to Spell Fencer running two handed.Agnes is mostly just sitting on White Mage, level 6 right now, and swapping to Freelancer when she runs out of mana. Ringabel is a bit all over, but is primarily a Black Mage, and just went to Time Mage, with dual wielding rods.

ok, Tiz spell fencer is strong AF.

Nice, yeah I rocked a spell fencing monk for Ringabel and had no regrets.

A heads up on the second halfs tediousness. During chapter 5 and 6 around 20 sidequests show up at once in both of them. However, the catch is that youve already done all these sidequests before. Theyre just a lot stronger. The whole thing is padding and can wear you down quickly if you dislike repeating things. Theres only one sidequest thats new in chapter 6 and it shows up right before the last crystal of that chapter so that one is still highly suggested. All sidequests in the following chapters are new and the best challenges in the game imo. Just dont let the roadblock of 5 and 6 tire you out.

Also, you mightve already gone past it but you should visit Norende in chapter 3 before you return to grandship. It gives a new scene at the end of the chapter where you get a strong limited gear.

Never beat it. 2nd half they decided to make the game repetitive bullshit. Quite enjoyed it until that point.

Don't sleep on special moves and their upgrades from the village. Some of them, like the staff or wand upgrades are key for some of the challenge bosses.

Train one of your physical fighters to have Pirate abilities. In battle, it makes things way easier when you can decrease the boss defense and magic defense.

Every day if you talk to the Traveler guy (guy in red who lets you save) and select update streetpass youll automatically get like a couple each day

Yeah, wish that system wasn't so reliant on what's popular and what people are playing. You used to get a handful of villagers once per day when you check on the village progress. But that was nothing compared to what I got when I got my ass to a convention and maxed it in a couple hours. I doubt enough people are still carrying around 3DS's with copies of this game in their saved files to recreate that windfall, but if you know a place where jRPG nerds gather I might swing by and see what you get.

Or poke around and see if there's a way to circumvent all this and turn your router into a hub or something.
