So yes, Actress would appear as whoever they scanned role/flavor wise

That used to be my hesitation and is somewhat quelled now?

If 5tarscream is Town:

To create WIFOM?

But that only occurs if we recognize that Pez COULD be actress

And that only happened with Lopen's prodding

If 5tarscream is Mafia:

To clear 5tarscream because there can't be two bookreaders

I *think* Lopen or Death must be Mafia strongman now

But, we'll see what's up with Death's flip

Yeah I know, it makes sense to question that and honestly I didn't dive deep enough to figure it out until you brought it up

There is power in your incredulity of the role flip there, and I see it as a two-edged sword for you

The only thing I got to support Pez having the same role as me but for Mafia instead of town was his talk about Tom, he claimed to have been simply picking up on Tom's breadcrumbs but it seems much more likely now that he actually just scanned Tom. My scans though don't provide any information on the role just the flavour. Tom's flavour would provide absolutely no insight to his role because it literally just talks about biting your thumb it doesn't say what his role is, what his name is or even his alignment. Just two sentences discussing thumb biting.
Maybe Pez scanned me on N2 and didn't scan anybody N3. I dunno.

No but I have played with him to confuse things and I frequently get tagged instead of him accidentally on MU.

I actually like that actress theory, it makes a lot of sense with 5tar's role and I don't see much reason for his role to be a fakeclaim. Plus claiming the role of another scum as scum yourself is borderline suicidal so I think we can rule that out. Ulti basically said my current train of thought: half the game is generally cleared or confirmed scum, and now we just work our way through the PoE.

It's not uncommon to have a scum scanner, even a weak one like book reader would be

I find it more likely that mafia has a flavor scanner than mafia has a role I've never seen that makes him flip as a scan target and they decided to scan the scanner with it >_>

Wouldn't it be better to play it close to the chest (at least while we still have power out) to increase my odds of drawing the kill? Like if I announce X is my top suspect, guess who's not gonna send the kill if he's maf. And if X is town, maf can then kill me and frame him.

...and then once it gets to me and the nillas I am presumably the best target for scum anyway >_>

I guess it depends on how confident you are. If I had your role I'd probably go full WIFOM and say I was targeting either Lopen or Sheep. But if I'm wrong it's easy for scum to send the kill. If you list a larger pool it's just not all that useful for town. Maybe a little. If we lynch scum after Death you can start confirming people tho

I defended Red and Pez pretty hard towards the end and didn't buy Chris or Corrik or Lolo until late in the game when I kinda had to. I think I'm like 0/7 this game so confidence is not at an all time high :P

Well Tom, you and 5tsr are sorta connected at this point.

He says he scanned me.

You say you redirected him to you.

He says he was informed his scan of Sbell was redirected to Tom.

Now I find it especially interesting that after the discussion of what should and shouldn't be told in a night action result that 5tar (after Pezs flip of identical role as 5tar) would come in and claim redirected WITH knowledge of where he went.

(mind you Tom's role existing and giving that result sorta turns him into confirmable town which we already have quite a lot of, so that's another question mark).

It just all sounds too convinient.

I openly admit that my 5tar theory relies on Tom also being scum (unless 5tar is absolutely scum and somehow they were able to fanagle that Tom into it with Tom's confirmation, which is even more convoluted than my theory that they are both just scum).
However, there are too many pieces that fall into place. if 5tar didn't come into this day with Tom confirming his nightly actions then 5tar looks absolutely horrible for A) pushing Death over Pez and B) sharing the same role as Pez. In my mind, he still looks horrible.

I still may have missed how 5tar revealed his scans on the other two targets, however i already addressed how that wouldn't have mattered since Pez was a Flavor Scanner so if the scans were true then so was the info 5tar was purporting to have obtained.

Death is clearly scum and thats just that.

Lopen has been playing quite methodically and i cannot say I know how Lopen plays at all, i know we've been in a game or two together in the past but i dont know his play style or anything of the sort. I will say his play has matched what i've shined of his personality over the years but that does nothing for me as far as deciphering his alignment in this game. I do not feel that Lopen, if Town has been playing to win. I feel as though he has been acting against Town and not in its best interests while still putting quite a lot of thought and hard work into his posts.

I know that its possible both Town and Scum have a flavor scanner (I did it in Broadway Mafia, Town could Scan Role, Scum could Scan a players Corresponding Song). I'm just still having trouble swallowing it here.

More thoughts to come, need to get some work done.
