It's either Chris, which is a shortened version of my first name or, often, my last name.

Caleb, big c when bowling or as used by my friends mom, highlander or c lab at work.

Nickname. When we moved to a new state before the start of 7th grade, my mom told me l could go by a different name if I wanted. I chose my favorite guitarist.

I go by my given name, which is not derived from my 3 first names, my family name or even any other possible name legally connected to me.

So technically, I go by a "nickname that I like".

First name. Ive had Nick names but they never stuck for long. Though I kinda liked waka being a final fantasy fan. Story behind that is i was already fucked up before going to a party and in my stupor wore a bandana tied up like a head band with my hair spiked straight up. Looked like a less extreme version of wakas hair from ff 10.

It would probably still go under first name. Like shortening or lengthening a name. Like Christopher to Chris, Maximilian to Max, Alexander or Alexandria to Alex, Bill or William to Billy, or Sam or Samuel to Sammy. Though, some would call those nicknames. It's up to you to decide. Or you could choose other...

My first name, Kenneth. Ken is acceptable and what I went by when I was younger, as an adult I prefer my full name. I never liked being called Kenny.

As far as nick names go I have a few but each is pretty specific to a single person. Nobody but that person calls me that name. But I don't have any that I don't like. If I don't like a name that someone tries to use I make sure they know not to call me that anymore.

Oddly enough, that was my sister's late godfather's name.

But no. A variant/diminutive form of C/Katherine, if you must know. I dropped that name when I was 16 (combination of bullying & having been named after a parental ex, ugh!).

Nowadays my legal first name is a kind of sideways-short for my middle name, a nickname acquired by way of a toddler who couldn't say the version of it that his mother used (Dria).
