What's funny about that? I went from having a really good healthcare plan with a small deductible to now having a garbage fire of a healthcare plan with a ridiculous deductible. Not to mention I had to change doctors, not once, but twice because they weren't in the circle or whatever the fuck.

Since you previously stated that you prefer "facts and history" over "feelings" (and remained conspicuously silent when I corrected your non-factual, emotional statements), you probably should dial this statement back. Trying to call an election this far out is pointless (at this point last election it looked like Conservative Stephen Harper was going to cruise to an easy victory, with Trudeau polling in third) and even with that qualifier, the recent polls show a dead heat between the Liberals and Conservatives. By far the most likely outcome at this point is a minority government and given that all of the other parties that will get seats are left of the Liberals, they will have a better chance at putting together a governing coalition even if the Conservatives win more seats.

that means paperwork having to switch doctors
OR I can wait until my next birthday in which they kick me off

It's very curious how the right only seems to care about spending when it comes to paying for things when it's for the poor or middle class. If so, please explain to me how the man who told his followers to sell all their possessions and give the money to the poor would be against government spending to help the poor. So far the only "emotional" people I see in this topic are the right-wingers working themselves into a lather over a policy that does not affect them in any way (pretty sure none of the usual suspects sounding off in this topic are Californians). I see people putting forward fact-based arguments for why it's to everyone's advantage to let residents have health care rather than letting them clog up the emergency system (sidling them with bills that most won't be able to pay anyways and which, therefore, will need to be paid for by taxpayers), as well as debunking several myths that have been floated in this topic, but the "emotional" people are the ones stomping their feet and screaming "It's just NOT FAIR that they get to have healthcare!!!"

To the contrary, my life is just great, thanks, and I'm pretty sure most of the people in this topic aren't illegal immigrants asking for healthcare. You're mistaking who is who in here - me, personally, I don't need health insurance; I'm already insured. I'm in favour of helping others, mostly because I'd like to think that, if circumstances were different and the shoe were on the other foot, someone would be willing to help me. "Love thy neighbour", after all.

And don't pretend like you haven't benefited from the goodwill of society. I'm pretty sure if you hadn't, I'd have heard about it. I think that you were born in a building built and staffed by other people, went to school and was taught by other people, drove on roads built and policed and paid for by other people, in a country whose laws were enforced and whose borders were defended by other people, all paid for by society in general.
