I don't like Traitor's Requiem as much as I did when it first came out when I thought it slammed, but I still think it's a pretty good opening. I love the HELL NO

While being in a gang leads Giorno and co to do good things, Golden Wind still shows the dangers of being in a gang. The story is about Giorno changing what it means to be a gangster and making the world a better place by being one; "Gangsta's Paradise" is about negative effects of gang life, which is what Giorno is trying to change in the first place. I think it's a huge stretch if not downright wrong to say Giorno is changing what it means to be a gangster. The public's perception of gang enforcers never changes throughout the story, and Giorno's motivation was never to change the dailly reality of gang life. On the contrary, he was enamored with it ever since he met that gangster, both the good and ugly parts of it. Both in Bruno's team and La Squadra, gang life is a matter of family, camaraderie, and support. And the drug trade was not something normal members of the gang knew about; even Buccellati was initially unaware. That was Giorno's goal: changing upper management policy that hurt the populace.The issues highlighted in Gangsta's Paradise simply do not exist in Vento Aureo. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
