A Florida mother is facing consequences and is even banned from social media for allegedly recording her daughter licking a tongue depressor and putting it back in a jar in a doctors office. Cori Ward, 30 made her first appearance in court on Friday morning. The mother of five was charged with a felony and was told she could no longer have any contact with the doctors office or social media. Ward was arrested on Thursday and charged with tampering with a consumer product without regard for possible death/bodily injury, according to sheriff's office records. Wards attorney told WJAX he believes her charges were too harsh. "Its a travesty and abusive that she was charged with the highest-level crime in Florida for essentially recording her kids, Paul Shorstein said. Ward told WJAX she notified doctors right after it happened, and she said didnt mean to put anyone in danger. "I know what its like to, you know, have to worry about your kids health and stuff. I would never put somebody elses kid at risk, she said. Shorstein says Ward also threw out the tongue depressors shortly after. He says hell be talking to the state attorneys office next and give them information on what happened and what led up to Wards arrest to try and get his client's charges dropped. I mean, if the entire point of the video was just broadcasting your kid being medically terrible and you being a bad parent that's one thing.
