I'm in that kamoshida palace place and this fucking horseman enemy keeps one shoting my team with some bullshit move named Cleave and keeps fucking attacking twice in a row. Holy shit man.

I guess it's my fault for starting the game on hard mode while I never played a game in the series before, but I did not expect this shit to be hard. I kinda want to keep it at hard mode but idk, this thing is being a massive roadblock to me atm. Lol

A tip for the Persona games: Unlike most jrpgs, stat buffs and debuffs are very useful, even in boss fights.

Other than that, fusing personas with resistances to what is killing you can also help a ton. Unlike most games where strengths and weaknesses are just a secondary thought, Persona is very punishing and rewarding for playing smart.

The game starts off tough but gets much easier as you go. You get so many perks and party members it eventuslly becomes a cake walk until the finale.

It suppose to be a sneaking tutorial, they're intentionally strong. You can go through that place without a fight, just keep left, ignore the door and jump up the boxes to your left. You shouldn't get to fight more than one shadow on your way there.
If you in the tower

Its weak to ice btw, and you can change to normal mode, and change it to hard later anytime you want

Also, if it comes down to it, lower the difficulty to normal and then bump it back up after the fight youre struggling on. Like you, I played on hard, but I had to bump it down. Once. In that palace. Maybe even the same guy.

I highly recommend playing on hard, but there is no penalty to bumping down the difficulty, and you probably wont need to again.

Yeah. Lol. I completely underestimated this game.

Also hitting its weaknesses doesn't help me that much. After I used bufu into an all out attack, then into regular attacks from the rest of the party the horseman still lives. And he just nukes the team with his cleave attack. Maybe I just need to beg for money/items, I can't recruit the guy. He's too high of a level for me.

Though I did accidentally learned that you cannot be detected no matter what if you "sneak", like you can be "sneaking" completely in front of them and in their field of vision and they cannot detect you. I just assumed you needed to be behind cover for them not to detect your sneak, lol. Kinda dumb if you ask me, but I do need all the help I can get.
