When I go to the cbs channel it just says,

cbs has removed this channel from your lineup despite our request to keep it available to you. We share your frustration and regret any inconvenience. As an alternative you can continue watching cbs programming on cbs.com or with a subscription to the cbs all access app.

I cannot express my negative emotions and use expletives for cbs right now because cbs own this domain. But cmon they want $5.99 a month for one channel. I pay $25 a month for 60 channels on direct tv I dont think the price is right is worth $6 a month.

They were in the 90s idk if they are anymore but you used to be able to get cbs free over radio antenna signal without cable

It's still the case. The major broadcast networks are FOX, NBC, ABC, and CBS, with PBS, CW, and MyNetworkTV tagging along.

a cheap solution is to get an HD antenna. they will pick up major networks and probably some regional channels

Its a negotiation tactic. The contract between them is up and each side wants to get the best deal, so CBS tells everyone they tried to stay on but couldn't, DirecTV tells everyone CBS pulled themselves despite DTV's attempts to get them to stay...then the viewers voice their opinions to each side and eventually one gives in and they cut a deal. This happens with all Network channels like almost every year.

Oh fuck those assholes. It's always the same shit, they want more money and want DirecTV to pay them more money to keep the channel which means price increases for customers.

So they removed the channels, not DTV and they want to use the customers who always fall for that bullshit and flood DirecTV call centers with calls to get them to give in. Its obnoxious.
