Game: beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ 1: ECHIDNA(EXTENDED MIX) -  2: DORNWALD ~Der Junge im Kfig~ -  3: Shime -  4: Beyond The Seven (Extended Mix) -  5: Venom -  6: Quakes -  Alt: Seaside Labyrinth (Long Version) -  Some honorable mentions that I didn't think would do really well: - Buzra - Nekomata vs HueR is CRAAAAZY this song is really good but it gathered absolutely no attention in neither VGMC12 nor VGMC13 so I left it off for now. Also conflicts with the two other HueR songs on the list lmfao - HADES - absolute banger, but I worry about hardstyle's reception on the board lmao - Mare Nectaris - same as above, hardstyle with japanese noises and just general WEIRD NOISE - GuNGNiR(The Requiems EXTENDED MIX) - Genki's stuff as Gram is always super, super good, and this kinda-not-really Psy Requiem song does some really cool things. I was unsure of how it would be received, and it's not my favorite song in the world (Sigmund is way better sorry lmao, and a ton of the other stuff in the style is more my thing) This was actually originally my alt - Tsugarusetsu long ver. feat.Aiko Iwasaki / Tsugarusetsu - Cool TAKA stuff as both SETUP and D.J.Amuro, but the long version has a very odd, kinda... not good vocal section that is very jarringly placed in the middle of the original - Snakey Kung-Fu - Cool TAKA stuff with S-C-U singing in Mandarin for some reason. Love it but I'm too weary of how it'd do - Egret and Willow - didn't want two Dirty Androids. If the long version were on the OST I prob would've put this in 3 and Seaside in 6 ngl - BroGamer - meme song even tho its banger - AsiaN distractive, Magical, (This Is Not) The Angels, Rave Cannon, Steel Edge, Izanami no Nageki, Caterpillar - Just couldn't fit 'em ... For day 2, here's one I wasn't super familiar with, but I know it has interesting songs and probably needs the early exposure. The series did have two representatives in VGMC, but only from the second game.

Not sure if anyone else was planning on nominating this, but I didn't see it listed yet. Though almost all of them also have instrumental versions, I personally prefer the vocal versions. I honestly feel like all of the songs could go in any order and it's basically just personal preference but certainly open to input. Not sure on the alternate song either, but Layer Cake has that sweet bass line.

The persona vocal songs are pretty divisive around here. I'd recommend not using 6 of them... maybe 3? Consider things like Blooming Villain (this should be an auto-include; really popular), Price, The Days When My Mother Was There, Keeper of Lust or Ark.

So, going off of Mycro's suggestion, for my Rewrite nom, I will in fact move Phobia up from #6 to #2. Thinking about it, I do see how something like Phobia might fare better in general than the "emotional VN piano/strings.mp3" songs that I happen to love from this game. That makes the revised 1-6 list as follows:
1: Deep Forest 2: Phobia 3: Scattered Flowers 4: Scene Shifts There 5: Soft Windflower 6: Philosophyz Alt song remains the same. Now onto day 2 nominations! Game: Little Busters! 1: Little Busters! -  2: Ring Ring Ring! -  3: Alicemagic -  4: Clear Weather After the Rain (Instrumental) -  5: Melancholy of a Noisy Girl -  6: Lamplight -  Alt: Born Into This World -  Other Considerations: A lot of things. Don't want to add too many vocal songs to keep things varied, but Faraway or Song For Friends could be a good inclusion. One of the tracks from the fighting minigame might be an interesting choice, while we're on the subject of variety. I like Boys Don't Cry as well. I tried to think of a list order that would be based on what the board would like the most, but I have no idea what that might be so I just made the order based on my personal favorites for now. I know I just mentioned how sad VN music might not be the most well-received type of song from these games, but I was thinking that there's a chance the board might like Lamplight. That's just a hunch, though, and not one that's based on a whole lot of knowledge about what the board likes. Day 1 listening stuff!!! Finally done listening to everything; I was initially going to just stop when I decided a game definitely wasn't going to get support but I decided to listen to everything anyway. Even stuff I'm not considering had good stuff!! I found a 7.0+ song from every game.

If it were like... Ordeals of Stars instead, and maybe something was found to replace Labyrinth II which I don't care for at all (Laby V owns it should be higher btw!!) I could see myself helping this out - LaTale - A few songs like 3 and 6 are pretty damn good, but I'd like to see a little more cause the others are somewhat lacking. Just a bit of etiquette, but if you're doing an update to your list, could you please specify that it's an update very explicitly? I'm sure deo won't have too much trouble figuring that out, but as a general rule I found it very helpful to know that I needed to look for an update and also to have some idea what was changing. Some of the revisions so far are top-to-bottom, but as we get into more and more tweaking, it pays to be specific for both viewers and the host. Speaking at least for myself, I know I'd find it easier to track adjustments this way.

Here's things regarding song selection I'd change...
Tokyo Xanadu eX+ - Nothing, it's great. Persona 5 - Swap a couple of vocal songs for good non-vocals like Blooming Villain Spark the Electric Jester - Swap Flower Canyon Valley and/or Special Boss for Flower Canyon City and/or Smog City. FCV feels particularly weak in the group and SB is kinda risky with its vocal style. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - I think Ruan's pretty unremarkable. I'd consider Challenger Invited, Go in Good Cheer, Secret Green Passage or Ancient Makes instead. Eschatos - Don't really get Clair De Lune; doesn't do it for me. Would easily take Rush Into (one of my favourites in the OST) over it. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana - No weak songs that I can see, and I don't know the OST well enough to suggest any changes anyway. beatmania IIDX 24 SINOBUZ - Shime sticks out among the selection to me as a song I don't like. If it were me, I'd use Invisible Strix or something instead lol :bird: Definitely don't remove Echidna, Dornwald or Quakes. DJMAX Respect - I'm concerned about the vast majority of these being vocal songs, as I was with Persona. Aside from that, ALiCE was the weakest to me and probably one I'd change. Glory Day, Far East Princess and Only For You were the strongest. Killer Instinct - I really don't like TM&IBYF but it seems like it's pretty popular with other people, so it's probably wise to keep it. In which case, I'd say if you were gonna make any changes, Sanghelios / I'm Back / Execute would be the ones to target, while Whipsers, Temperance and Inferno are strong and should be kept. All of the HMs you gave are good, though I am particularly partial to The Instinct. Terraria Calamity - I gave Return to Slime a 3/10; would REALLY recommend swapping it out for Crab or something. I agree with others that it's unwise to avoid VGMC noms, since they were great ones. Fly of Beelzebub seems pretty replaceable with Bumblebirb or something as well. Ys III: Wanderers of Ys - I saw talk of Beat of Destruction being replaced and I agree. I felt it was by far the weakest in the set. Don't touch Ilburns, Valestein or Seal of Time though, those are awesome. Prinny: Can I really be the Hero? - First Impression and Prinny Action are awesome and pin the nomination together. I would actually put Prinny Action in either slot 2 or 3, rather than 4, as such. Kusha Kusha No Yume stuck out to me as particularly weak among the selection. Would recommend replacing it with Deamon Sea Casino. If you really want to keep Kusha, then I'd still look at replacing one of the others with DSC because DSC is fantastic. --- aka DireKrow ... Aurora Memoria - Philosophical Data Session: 2093 - The two weaker songs for me were Optical Mode and Prelude Bedroom. OM is just a matter of taste and I have a feeling it, along with the other songs, are going to grow on me a bit. PB I feel is something I felt should be replaced, but... looking at the OST myself, it seems like there isn't much to choose from... so this might be the best it'll get.
Cloudbuilt - Azu already saw my exact thoughts on the songs for this. Cloudscapes and Initial Entry were the weak ones for me, but Cloudscapes is non-negotiable. So in that case, I'd say trade IE for Aerial Walkways. Etrian Odyssey V - I'd definitely do this one a little differently overall, myself. I'd need to think about it more to give specific recommendation. That said, I'm gonna go against deo and say absolutely do not remove End of the Raging Waves, it's the best song in selection. Activation and Life or Death are great too. Gurumin - I'd take any (or all) of Dance in the Forest, Phantom Egg and Sight of Silence over Rainbow Colored Phantom, Samurai Drill and The Silence of Negative Ions. DitF especially I'm really surprised you didn't use, because it's great. Rewrite - Phobia is a massive stand-out. Really great song. Is there any other songs on the OST remotely like it? Might be good to toss in another, if so. Not over it, Deep Forest, Scene Shifts There or Philosophyz, though, since I think those 4 are the good ones in the selection. Vision Soft Reset - Not many changes you could do since the OST is small. I think this will grow on me... has a real chance of earning a support from me. In the meantime though, I feel pretty strongly that Murky Depths would perform better than Floatlands, so consider swapping that for that. I might have some things to say about Caravan Stories, Rose Guns Days and Cadence of Hyrule too, but I'd have to look through their OSTs and I don't know if I'll have time for that. I'm not going to officially use any supports for a while because I haven't had time to listen to many things yet, but I will say these are some OST's I'm already familiar with which I'll almost definitely be supporting: FE Fates, Rewrite, Little Busters, and Gurumin. Ys VIII and Persona 5 are also on the list for slightly less strong usage of the phrase "almost definitely".

edit: Also I guess I'll comment on the Little Busters selection here. I was also thinking a fighting minigame song would be interesting from a variety and standpoint and might do well here...but I actually (comparatively) don't like those enough myself to really recommend it. I think Boys Don't Cry is more likely than Lamplight to be received well here as far as sad music goes, but I like both. (In the Town of Unending Rain is actually my favorite but that one would be weak here I suspect.) From a selfish perspective another one I'm a big fan of is Heart-Colored Capriccio, but I'm not sure if that would be popular at large or not. Also agree on the other vocal songs being potentially good. ...basically I have no idea what the nomination should be lol. --- Oh woops. I like all of your selections, lem, though I'm a bit skeptical of putting Philosophyz in... I love it personally, but I wonder if that heavy vibrato electric guitar might scare off some voters... Maybe I'm wrong, though. I would LOVE to see Beyond the Darkness (Full Version) on the list...there are several great harmonic moments in that one. It's my favorite music from the game, actually.  Another I would LOVE to see on the list is Love Letter... yeah, I love all the vocal tracks from the game. Then again, I wouldn't know what to replace aside from maybe Philosphyz. Support Caravan Stories - I haven't had time to listen to (all) the tracks yet, but from I've heard previously, this is potentially a GOAT-tier soundtrack. --- Congrats to Advokaiser on pwning me in CBX! ...
