Well I tried, only person trading for Mob for the LONGEST time and the only show left with only 1 dedicated trader so it makes sense. It's too bad people like Mob but not enough to main it! But hey, 9 is my favorite number so I'll take it. I appreciate the last minute trade Martin.

Mob's good, I don't think many people who've watched both seasons would disagree with that point.

But I do agree with the sentiment that A Place Further than the Universe was last year's best anime.

Mob was either my second or third favourite left but I don't think I would have backed it over at least Madoka because I just couldn't see it having a chance later on. This is all making me wish I'd watched Antarctica last year though, when it probably had a better shot.

Well yea that was the problem, Mob was alot of people's second or third favorite left! It's not a good spot to be in when we get to this point and you need multiple people.

I feel like some of the support from last year has dropped, but maybe that was just the me from last year being frustrated that something I hadn't watched got so far. What did it even get? And I agree Haruhi was a lock to win but it's looking the same for Monogatari this year. I'd be happy with top 3 for any of my other series.

Monogatari at this point is likely the #3 favourite.

Upper half yes, but it's pretty close at the top.

Haruhi and Cowboy Bebop are prolly the only two winners that felt like dead certs way before we even got to the finals.

Antarctica got 6th

and Monogatari will never be the runaway train Haruhi was - it's far too niche to declare it a definitive favorite without knowing its opponent, whereas Haruhi's popularity guaranteed it a favorable match-up no matter what it faced

Steins;Gate and Death Note auto win against any other show, not sure how the match between those two would play out though.

Well at least GS is in the 0% category but the only one in top tier I'd be okay with winning is Monogatari. Death Note maybe, if I forgot that it had more than like 24 episodes.

On the plus side the unlikely contenders are all great. I'd consider backing Kaguya from the very beginning once S2 comes out although I can't justify chucking it votes based on what's there so far.
