Made in Italy. Italian Leather. My first 'adult' shoes or whatever CE.

Figured I can't look like a hobo when I show up to social functions like work gatherings, big meetings or just interviews with new people or maybe meeting some important people for the first time.

It did feel kinda weird spending that much lol

Adult shoes shouldnt mean break the bank on something that could very well step in mud or dog poo. For me spending lots of money on shoes is like buying a Lamborghini you cant bear to drive except once in a blue moon.

And Gucci isnt really a "professionals" brand. Im not sure what you do for a living but if you worked for me and showed up to a dinner wearing gucci slippers I would silently judge you lol

Living next door to Italy has its perks, I can get shoes of a similar quality for like 100 Euro or less if the stars align.

Good choice TC though, I am sure you'll be happy with them. Just make sure to take care of them.

Gucci has a very accurate sizing information page so you will get shoes that fit you correctly. Plus free return with like a month of ordering if something is wrong.

Gucci is literally one of the only brands that started as an expert in the industry for leather shoemaking. Italian rich families wanted quality leather shoes for horseback riding and hunting and its how these shoes started. I own 2 pairs and had them for over 5 years. They look brand new. Extremely high quality materials all you need to do is wipe the sides off every few months if they get a little dirty.

As someone who still enjoys my $200 jeans, $600 for a first pair of nice shoes is overkill. Could have just dropped $300-400 for some Allen Edmonds or Aldens. Hope you like them though TC invest in leather shoe care (brush, conditioner, shoe trees, water proofing if desired, etc)
