Whatever year the PS3 launched I was one if those idiots who bought one at launch. Further, its Canada and I believe this was late October/ November so we had endless rain and cold temperatures. I went with my friend and we saw the line outside of bestbuy over 24 hours ahead of the midnight release.

I decided it would be fun to camp out in a little tent like the other handful of people were doing. It was absolutely miserable. The evening before it launched there was probably 50 people now in line and the news station came and they got me to leave the store with an empty PS3 box and pretend to be stealing it as a mini skit. I was on the news.

I also got the guys in the tent beside us to get a small thing if vodka for us at the lcbo abdl I puked in the tent.

Around midnight they came out with the total number of systems they received and they went person to person to give us a number. They had 20 something and everyone else waited for shit all.

I paid $659.99 for a PS3 I just used as a PS2 for like 2 years. Shameful but still.

Sounds like a good time

On the Calvin and Hobbes sliding scale of good vs bad ideas I think this one wins out in the long run
