Judgmenl 07/26/19 6:20:08 AM #1:	https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/197765-the-legend-of-dragoon Sitting at #6 on the top PS1 message boards. The Legend of Dragoon was a very mediocre PS1 JRPG, that had a mixed reception, but it seems to have a larger legacy than so many random AAA RPGs. You try and find any random AAA game from even 10 years ago and see if it has that active of a community. And, tbh, I'm looking at the board now and it's not that active. Maybe similar plots have been done a lot since then, but it was pretty fresh at the time. Spoilers, just in case... I really loved how the game built up the Black Monster from the start as if it'd be the final boss or something, then the huge plot twist and swerve that it's actually your comrade. Which did actually surprise me. Obviously Rose had been alive the entire history of the game's lore and knew more than she let on, but didn't actually expect it'd be her. Then Dart, who starts off seeming like a generic RPG hero, has the big character growth moment of forgiving her and letting his desire for vengeance subside. Plus he actually admits his feelings for the love interest halfway through the game and becomes a couple w/ her, which is STILL refreshing even in current games.
