They're absolutely delicious when they're crispy and crunchy and have a good balance between the onion and the breading, but a lot of places (especially fast food type places) make onion rings that are super soggy and gross, or like 70% big wet droopy thick onion with a little bit of breading on them. Those should be avoided like the plague A really pleasant surprise I found yesterday was onion rings on burgers.
