Every new character looks completely busted from their promo video. It's going to take a few days to really tease out their weaknesses. People didn't know Cloud had a shit tier recovery until after launch, or that Mewtwo was going to be one of the lightest characters in the roster, for example.

Utility is good, but it's possible his combo potential is bad, or he's overly reliant on one move to get kills which can be easily predicted, or his recovery is abysmal, or his air game makes him super vulnurable. It's going to be a week or two of "OMG he's too OP" before players figure out what he's really about and Hero gets dumped in mid-tier like most newcomers.

Yeah, we'll see really soon. Or whenever the servers will allow it. ;P I'm not sure I feel inclined to play him, myself, I've been really digging Greninja lately. But I know I'll be fighting Hero a lot.

All the claims of Hero being busted is probably the reason the MP gauge is there. Any spells that seem broken will have a high MP cost to use, and MP regenerates pretty slowly.

I feel like Hero should get limited super armor when selecting a command for down-b. Like, how the hell are you supposed to actually land attacks like Hatchet Man and Metal Killer when you can't move using the menu?

- Neutral Special _______________________ = Frizz _ [Holdable] Hold button to charge up; Use Shield to hold and save charge
- Neutral Special Charge & Hold + No Tilt = Frizzle [Holdable] Release upon next button press
- Neutral Special Charge & Hold + No Tilt = KaFrizz [Holdable] REQUIRES enough MP to use ability, or you will whiff

- Sideway Special ________________ = Zap
- Sideway Special Charge & Release = Zapple
- Sideway Special Charge & Release = KaZap

- Upwards Special ________________ = Woosh
- Upwards Special Charge & Release = Swoosh
- Upwards Special Charge & Release = KaSwoosh

= > Oomph _________ - Raise Attack Power for a limited time
= > Psyche Up _____ - Raise the power of the 'Next Attack'; The Effect wears off after 1 use, but the effect lasts the duration of the move
= > Bounce ________ - Reflects Projectiles automatically

= > Flame ___ Slash - Attacks Wide Area with Fire

That would make the Command Select menu OP, I'm glad they don't give him that when menu diving.

At this rate, there is no excuse for not bringing back all the old "Alternate Moves" from Smash 4 and integrating them properly into all existing characters.

If OP characters like "HERO" are allowed to exist, why can't they make other characters different by changing and or adding "Special Moves" and start turning Clones into Semi-Clones.

One character gets this many "Special Moves".

Why can't they modify the entire roster. There were SOOO many "Alternate Moves" in Smash 4 with the code literally sitting there unused.

Pokemon Trainer can literally add "Pikachu" to the available Pokemon loadout with using
Left / Down / Right Special Smash to summon different Pokemon from the roster and keep damage meters the same for each Pokemon until they get KOed from the stage.

Then Modify Pikachu & Pichu's moveset to be different from each other.

Ergo normal Pikachu, Pikachu that is part of Pokemon Trainer, and Pichu would all have different Special moves, making them play differently.

That's just one of many changes that would turn all "Clones" into Semi-Clones.

I'll probably test him out like I did with Joker. He's definitely going to be a pain since I use Dark Samus a lot.

You also recover MP by attacking. Sakurai did a Forward Smash and recovered around 20 MP. Another attack recovered around 10 MP and that was the Forward Air.

Yeah they looked really good, a lot of them looked like they could confirm into powerful moves/combos, I think the MP management will be key.

Also, I bet we get some awesome style/disrespect kills with some of those down specials like self destruct, could be epic
