There used to be a notification on deleting a post that mentioned it wouldn't shield you from being moderated. I thought that still applied. Granted, they've changed a lot of shit lately. And, given that the people who troll me on these board tend to be pretty rules-savvy, I'm sure they could find a way to report around it (doubly so since they could then further claim guilt because I deleted it).

You cant read very well can you? I already stated that you can still be moderated even if you delete a post... but I guess blatant, straight forward language is tough.

I quite honestly don't pay as much attention to your posts as I do other peoples' posts. Reviewing your post, you might have implied that, but it wasn't explicit enough for me to really notice when skimming through your post.

One thing about Donald Trump presidency should have already taught everybody, is that going after a political figure for their rhetoric doesn't actually do anything.
Let's be real here, everybody has had times in their lives where you looked at a person and felt "Hey that person's fat" or "That person's ugly". It's in human nature to have temporary insensitive feelings and anybody who claims they've never said anything insensitive and is some perfect being who loves everyone is a dirty liar.
Attack presidents on policy because attacking them on rhetoric is just cringe and also counter-productive.

I will agree that Reagan's comments were ugly. What this has left me wondering though, is why even the outreach to dead people? First James Dean, now Reagan, and who will be the next late American to be dragged through the mud and for what, exactly?

I was in my 20s when Reagan became president (which kind of dates me if you know what I mean) and didn't like him then or now. At the time I was staying with my uncle, who referred me to Reagan's record as Governor of California when Reagan became a Presidential candidate (or at least his name was being seriously mentioned). That's when I learned that, before Reagan became Governor, California had FREE college for everyone. That was enough of a reason for me to not vote for Uncle Ronnie as some affectionately knew him. The worst was when I joined the service and discovered that the military was certain 'that damned cowboy' would start WW3 with his rhetoric toward the USSR. Remember "we bomb Moscow in 5 minutes" and other gaffes that came out of Reagan's mouth all the time? He was a much better con artist than Trump; that's all Reagan had going for him.
