Im saying. This whole shaming people everywhere but where they need to be shamed (By people in their actual life) has no impact and it just makes everywhere an angry place when it happens, instead of contained in the places that can actually do something about it. People give less of a fuck about stuff that happens to their actual extended family members than they do about this shit that has nothing to do with them.

I've spent years volunteering/working with rape abuse victims at shelters and with students. I see a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement calling a victim a liar only to come out and say she was "simply defending a friend" and have no one call for her to be held accountable?

Yeah I'm going to feel a type of way. Victims already under-report as it is. So when a supposed ally does something like this, backtracks and admits their own lie with no repercussions? That's going to cast doubt on people to report their abuse.

I'm bringing up her past actions. How she has a history of inappropriate/hypocritical stuff. The biggest thing she's done is calling a RAPE VICTIM A LIAR and she never had any blowback from that.

No.....there are two controversial clips she has and people are mixing them together.

She admitted to, when she was a stripping, taking guys to a hotel, spiking their drinks, and robbing them. She never said she "fucked" them (aka rape) nor has anyone came out and claimed she raped them. She was wrong and fucked up for doing that but from all sources involved, there was nothing else.

The second clip was her shit talking. She was talking future tense in that video. She was talking about getting even with a dude and saying that's what she would do, not what she did. Which is also fucked up.

Should Cardi be called out for that shit? Yes absolutely. But there was no rape in either instance. It was a drugging/robbery and a shit-talking fantasy. Both things being awful.
