Actually this probably isn't philosophy but idk what else to call it.

We feel as though we exist within our heads, with everything from the neck and below a body we have to control. Obviously this is largely because it's where our brain resides, but how much of a factor does vision and hearing play into this?

For instance, if our eyes were instead located where are nipples are, with ears on either side, would we feel like our center of being is the upper chest rather than the head, with the neck onwards being just another extremity? Do our senses or our brain primarily determine our center of being?

I think theres something to it, the positioning of our sensory organs in some sense guides and dictates our cognition of the world we inhabit. So if for instance our eyes were located on our nipples, I do believe it would reorient our perspective and embodiment of the world we find ourselves in. However, having said that, I do think there is something to be said for a phenomena I label pure cognition. A kind of cognition that occurs irrespective of any external stimulus received through any sensory organs, but a cognition that is cognized as cognition as such - ie essence. I believe such moments of pure cognition occurs during the most sincerest and authentic moments of ones life, witnessing the birth of the ones child is an excellent example of one of those moments of pure cognition Im referring too. Just my personal take on the issue from a philosophical lease.
