Had to send one in to get repaired about two months ago because the stick wouldn't stop drifting left. That would've been in June, when the system was still under warranty.

Warranty expired last month, and now the same controller is having the exact same issue. Put in another repair order which they'll hopefully do for free even without warranty since it's the same controller they "fixed" two months ago.

Looked online and apparently this issue is super common so I'm curious who else has had to deal with it

My right joycon doesn't work well when connected to the switch itself, but it works just fine when plugged into the controller/holder thing

But the same controller frame literally split open on one side when it fell like four feet from the top of my desk onto carpet so uh

No but I've probably used the joycons less than 3 hours total because they're so horribly uncomfortable. Pro controller all the way

Mine and my brother's default joycons eventually got it. Last July I bought my brother a new pair since he plays handheld a lot so it was really annoying... by the end of the year, that pair too got wonky sticks

...

Couple weeks ago tho I got some electrical contact cleaner and sprayed 2 pairs of our joycons, mine fixed pretty perfectly... my brothers better but his left con stick still has a bit of issue. Either way I highly recommend trying some if you keep having the issue

My minus button either doesn't work or it's mashing on itself. Dunno how to fix this though.

I had to send one in about a month or two after I bought the Switch, because the L button just completely stopped registering all of a sudden. They sent a brand new one back. But now in the past couple months it's been starting to drift, but not too bad yet. I'll probably send it back in after I'm done with Fire Emblem.

I think both of mine may be getting bad... occasionally I notice a little drift on the left one, and the right one seems to be going down randomly sometimes because my camera in DQ Builders is constantly going wrong.

I mean I have a pro controller which means I'm at least good on solo stuff

the issue is that the switch is pretty much my primary system for multiplayer stuff

My Left Joycon doesn't connect with the switch anymore

I mean, The switch still RECOGNIZES it and it makes the noise, but its loose, you can easily pull it off while playing it, it doesn't lock

though that might be an issue with the switch itself

My left joycon is always tilting up.

Theoretically I could get it repaired but eh

I'm on my third set, the first two are currently at Nintendo being repaired. Sent them in once I found out they're fixing it for free.

Got a Switch back in March and have barely used the Joycons until now for Fire Emblem (only other game I bought was Smash and I use a Gamecube controller for that).

I will sometimes play for hours and have nothing go wrong. Sometimes the Left Joycon will randomly disconnect even though I'm playing no more than two feet away from my switch while it's docked (probably more like 1 to 1 and a half), but then it will reconnect and I'll play again without issue for a while. One day I had it keep disconnecting at random intervals sometimes within a few minutes of the last time.

A couple months back I noticed it somehow hadn't recharged itself while both it and the right one were connected to the Switch (but the right one was fully charged), but I don't think I've had that issue since.
