I think it'll be the Astros, but out of the realistic options, I'm cheering for the Braves or Twins. As much as I wish the Cardinals stood a chance, I really don't think they have enough.

Yankees were my pick going into the season, but at this point the Astros are pretty clearly the favorites. I don't doubt that the Yankees can pull a bit of postseason magic out of their hats considering how well they've done despite everything that's happened this year. But on paper that rotation of Verlander, Cole, and Greinke looks too difficult to overcome. Hell, even if they do beat the Astros, I absolutely see the Dodgers as a threat too.

The logical pick is Astros over Dodgers or Yankees over Dodgers. They're the 3 best teams throughout the season. But since I'm a fan and the best team often doesn't win, Cubs until their mathematically eliminated. They're dominating at home and can put a lot of pressure on forcing a post season team to feel they have to be perfect and not let them get one road win.
I also feel the Braves aren't getting as much attention as they deserve. --- If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all ... Copied to Clipboard!
