I'll make a cocktail usually once a night so technically 5-6 times a week, but I don't have "more than one" drink more than once a weekend.

Up until a month or two ago, maybe 2-3 times a year.

Recently though? 2-3 times a week. I forgot how fun it makes social situations. I was chiefin all the time and become a loner stoner... caught on that alcohol had the opposite effect and made me want to go out and chill with friends.

However, drinking still sucks, at least up to the point that you get tipsy/drunk.

1800 is pretty decent middle-of-the-road tequila. Just make sure whatever you buy is 100% agave (so no basic jose cuervo or shit like that) or you're going to feel it in the morning.

Maybe I haven't drank enough tequila... but it seems a lot like vodka in that if you don't drink it almost exclusively, it's next to impossible to tell the difference in flavor between the various brands.

I pretty much drink vodka and can tell the difference between most of them, but all of my friends are like "whatever, vodka is vodka".

But what you said about agave makes sense

For me at least most types of alcohol taste more or less the same within the same category (e.g. white rum, tequila reposada, etc.), with some variation depending on the price (Jack and Evan taste better than Old Thompson for example).

I drink daily.

I only get normal person drunk on nights when I have to work in the morning.

On nights where I don't have to work in the morning I get totally annihilated.

I'm an alcoholic by anybody's standards.

I will have a cocktail or two at home about once a week. I never get - nor have I ever been - properly drunk, though. Just enough to relax and unwind when I have nowhere else to be.

I've had cough medicine with alcohol in it a few times but that's the extent of alcohol I've had that I'm aware of. Maybe some trace amount in beer cheese?

My go to is a coffee with Bailey's (or the cheaper Costco brand) at night. Or an Irish coffee if I want to relax a bit more. Also have a few whiskeys that I'll do a single or double of maybe 3 times a week or so.

Unless I'm off to the next day, in which case I'll usually pick up a Starbucks or Coffee Bean for a bit more caffeine.

So average 4-5 times a week I guess? Very rarely ever get beyond a bit buzzed though, unless I over pour on an empty stomach or something.

Now that I'm out on my own with a real job, I'm going out once a week. I really need to learn how to drink again, I lost all my tolerance when I stopped drinking on a regular basis after college. This past new year's I threw up after 2 beers, which is pretty embarrassing for a grown-ass man.

as of writing this, 7/69 or ~10% of the responses claim to be an alcoholic.
