It's going to be a hands down, top of the genre classic. And it deserves it. Don't know if I'd actually say it's better than The Thing, but it can certainly hold its own.

It was so weird. I loved it. Like a romp through the feywild in D&D

Antifar had made one major error though. He'd ignored the sign that had cautioned him about cruelbuffalos wearing turbams. There was a key in between them.

Give it a shot and stick with it. It's slow to start but well worth it, and has a couple of the scariest things I've ever seen in a movie.

That bear scene was the one time in ten years that hollywood legit gave me chills.

Didn't seem nearly malicious enough for anything 40k related, lol

That's Event Horizon

Event Horizon chronicles humanity's first incursion into the Warp pre-Gellar Fields.

Annihilation is about humanity's first encounter with the Warp bleeding into reality.

Nah, creepy as fuck but other than that it mostly seemed to act like a normal predator. For 40k I'd need a ton of them and they're taking over your planet >.>;

Also inside the shimmer: time goes to shit, humans begin going mad and mutating, organic material is combining together, and then you get to the beach and things just get weird.

This. The visuals were incredible but the characters and story were a bit undercooked in parts, especially the end. Ex Machina is still a better film.

The bear scene is definitely one of the creepiest shits I've ever seen and I see the rest of the movie as a regular everyday sci-fi romp and not a disturbing horror. I couldn't stop wtfing.

Anytime someone says that tho it ends up being nowhere near that scary

Trust!

It's also just a legitimately great, smart movie even if it doesn't scare you.

But it will scare you.

It wasn't. It was a fairly dull movie that would've never been mentioned again if not for the visuals

Eh I don't think so. It was a solid movie for sure though. The book series was of course better too, though that's often the case for movies based off of books.
