Theoretically, it should have been this year based on the gap between 5 and 6, but I imagine trying to figure out where to take the series from here is tricky.

No, it's not crazy, and I wouldn't mind it, but I fear Capcom would force them to do it like AJ again and drag Phoenix into a role he shouldn't play just to keep his name attached to the series.

It certainly ended on a note I'd be satisfied with if that was the final entry, kind of like T&T.

But I admit I'm definitely curious to see how they build on it at the same time.

I mean, liking Nahyuta is an opinion, and I can understand it, but I certainly won't ever relate. I guess I do think his design and concept had potential, but, meh.

He sucks but he's also a better prosecutor than Godot imo. Or Klavier.

I liked 5-5 a lot and I enjoyed DD. It's surprising to see so much dumping on it.

(Although, the words "dark age of the law" come up far too often for their own good)

Maybe I'll do a write-up someday on cases I know you people are into that sort of thing~

Oldbag is the character (along with Larry) who degraded most over the course of her appearances (Her AAI cameos in particular are painful), but she's pretty entertaining in 1-3 and (to a lesser degree) 2-4.

5-5 is still a pretty good case with some really good characters

just kidding i only like it because aura is best

5-5 is great. It's just a clear step below the top 4, but it's also clearly ahead of all the others.

My vision, which will never happen, for AA7 is that it'll be the first game to feature some sort of mechanic that allows you to choose your character, so each case would have two routes that would each feature separate puzzles that eventually come to the same conclusion.

It also has a layton-esque world map instead of "move," gumshoe and maggey's kid as a sidekick for athena, sarge as the wright anything agency's "tech expert" and pearls finally getting that makeover.

I want Gumshoe back before we start talking Gumshoe having a kid

He's definitely still around. They hint around at him without expressly mentioning him by name a couple times in SoJ.

I like to believe he's the Chief of Detectives now.

My headcanon is that Gumshoe will show up as a defendant in AA7.

Gumshoe constantly giving evidence implicating him as the killer would make for a pretty great defendant gimmick.
