I've never beat the game before. Even on medium I was mind blown at how many bullets the military dudes can soak up before dying. This morning I fought some dudes on an old hard mode save file, and though I would have to empty like half a clip to kill one dude, they didn't hurt me that much, suprisingly. I'll be starting a new game now, though. I think I can do it.

Love this intro. As video game intros go, this one is top 5 for sure.

Yeah, I cant imagine a game that lets you save at absolutely any time could be too terrible.

I love how the game feels like being in a movie. While the story is nothing to write home about, this TYPE of story is perfect for video games. Valve is hella good at this kind of thing. I wish they still made more games like this.

Made it all the way through Office Complex retaining 100 health through almost all of it. A piece of cake so far if you save smart and pay attention to enemy behavior patterns.

Such a goddamn good game. I can't wait for Black Mesa to fully release.

I can't exactly put a finger on what the charm is that Valve games have. But whatever it is, they certainly have it. That indescribable "This is fucking good" feeling from start to finish. You don't just play their games. You experience them.

This is one of those games that is fantastic to play when youre drunk. You feel so sucked in. Its like youre really experiencing it.

Fucked up that they never did 3. Unforgivable, honestly and shitty to string people along with it.

Who knows? It was 22 years between DOOM 2016 and the previous appreciable DOOM game. Its only been 15 years since Half Life 2. Maybe theyre waiting until technology advances enough to give us an incredibly impressive game like DOOM did.

LOL I reached the giant tentacle boss thing. Why do I keep finding it comical when scientists reach their demise in these type scenarios?
