I don't know what kind of bee might have made it but it's up in an attic I'm working in and I don't want to take a chance with it

I say this with no authority mind you, but looks like some kind of wasp nest to me.

If there isn't anything flying around it, break it open and see for yourself.

If you don't find a comb inside, it's probably a mud dauber nest.

I saw what looked like one or two paper wasps up at the other end of the attic so they either have a nest at that end or it's this one that they use. Little weary of smashing it open since I can only get out through a little opening in the ceiling haha

Oh well yeah if there are wasps in or around the area then don't fuck with it.. call an exterminator, or put on some heavy clothes and knock it down lol

I'm gonna try Monday morning with a couple cans of the foaming bee killer, hopefully that's enough

Makes sure you encase the whole thing quick. Dual wield?

Ooh, didn't even think of dual wielding. Brings me back to halo 2.

fun fact: despite my frequent interacting with/harassing all sorts of buggies, the only bites/stings i've received in the past six years were from paper wasps (i mean unless you're including ants and mosquitos etc.). rather painful for a minute, then swollen and hurting for a half hour, then the pain is gone. :D :D :D

i mean unless you're getting mobbed by them lol

A couple of them I don't mind but judging by the size of this hive, there might be a lot inside if they're still using it. The one I saw last week at another job was jamming with them.

Was my first thought too but I don't think the homeowner would like that
