Board 8 > Are there any instances where a PS1 port is better than the dreamcast version?

I've always seen the Dreamcast as the same generation as the PS2, GCN, and Xbox. Though ....it sorta isn't. Apparently Dreamcast is kinda in between generations, and so it shares a few PS1 games, and even a few N64 ones from what I can see

I've never owned a Dreamcast, so I'm just very late and this is all probably not new to some of you

but anyways, I at least DO know the Dreamcast is a decently powerful system for the time, it ran (nearly) arcade perfect versions of fighting games, like Soul Calibur and Marvel Vs Capcom. ESPECIALLY Marvel Vs Capcom. The PS1 version of MVC couldn't even handle the 2V2 tag aspect of the game

so I do acknowledge its probably really safe to assume that no, probably most of the time the Dreamcast versions are probably better

but theres always that few that falls through the cracks.

I just simply want to know if anybody knows of any off hand.
I'll probably have to individually research almost all of them and make comparisons myself though

some shared titles include the later Tomb Raiders, Tony hawk, Soul Reaver, Rayman 2, and fighting force 2 (lol)

someone on there is saying the PS1 version of RE3 is better, as well as Dino Crisis

Resident Evil 3 does have more costumes on the DC version than the PS1 version, but overall the controls are more clunky and the backgrounds don't look as good since they weren't made with the Dreamcast in mind (same thing with the GC port). Pretty much the same goes for Dino Crisis.
