My coworkers do this all the time and it drives me crazy. Yeah, I totally want to listen to a song I can barley hear with 3/4ths of the frequencies missing!! Not fucking annoying at all!!

My girlfriend does this pretty regularly. The music sounds like shit. How can you enjoy that? Her stereo in the living room has bluetooth connectivity. I have a good bluetooth speaker she could use too. But she still just uses her shitty phone speakers. Her phone isn't even a great phone so it sounds even worse. But she seems happy with it despite having significantly better options right here in the house that we share.

I'm all for listening to music all day if you can get away with it. But I definitely wouldn't listen to music on the phone without headphones. I won't even listen to music on my busted ass computer speakers right now, I wear headphones instead.

I usually use headphones. Or a Bluetooth speaker. Or my truck. If I have no other way, then Ill use my phone speakers. But will usually rather watch a video. But I do use phone speakers if I have no other way...

Pretty much this besides thr bluetooth stuff and thr using phone speakers if I have nothing better. I never listen to music without headphones except the radio in my truck. And then only ig im by myself. I dont like playing my music around other people. If I dont know them Idk if its gonna bother them if I know them usually id rather talk to them than listen to music.

But yeah my step dad does this shit all the time if I tell him ive never heard a song he mentions. Annoying as shit but not because the quality I just didnt really wanna hear it. He does the same shit with movies too. Made me watch both bill and ted movies back to back cause I said I hadnt seen them.

And if you knew half of them, you wouldn't blame me.

That being said I don't play music around others because I don't want to bother them. So really doesn't matter if I use my phone or not.

I'll admit I'm a bit out of it today, but unsure what's hard to understand about what I said?

I do this at work for now just because I don't have a speaker nor blutooth headphones and I can't be strapped down with wired headphones. It's not great, But only I can really hear it.

Never. I have good bluetooth and wired headphones, along with an Alexa speaker.

If I must just use my phone, I'll put into a container to help amplify the sound.

Nice digital audio player + decent files + nice headphones. Even that barely scratches the surface but im not really an audio snob so it's more then fine for me.

But yeah phones = bleh

Sounds like a you problem. Sure phones and tablets are not my preferred method to listen to music without headphones or a additional speaker but they can get the job done if I'm desperate.

Are people allowed to wear to headphones at your job? Some places dont allow them. Either for safety reasons, or it interferes with work (cant hear phone or other people, etc.).

Not that I know of. Although these days you can in theory just have one wireless headphone in it could still be a issue in the workplace.

I am an audiophile so all my audio sources are very good. I dont even like listening to a short meme video through my phone. I will pull out my headset and portable DAC/amp to listen

Actually, I was asking TC. Though I dont mind anyone answering, as well. I know at one of my jobs, I use to put one in my ear. And keep the other empty for listening for phones, and if anyone called out to me. Another job Im currently working use to allow headphones. But the recently cracked down on phone altogether, so no more music for me...
