Here are the experimental rules.

There is no flavor split. You will be assigned one of the 24 original teams.

The game will be fully open. Every player will have their team identified to the public.

There will be a Day 0, where players may bid on a Mercenary's service that I judge to be the most iconic to the team in question. Therefore there will be exactly 24 mercenaries. They will have unique abilities, but you will only learn of them after you acquire them, and yes, the power you acquire is public knowledge.

The bidding system is as such: ##claim: mercenary is the command to take a mercenary. Should two or more players claim the same mercenary, a public vote day 0 will occur. If you lose the vote you are welcome to pick whatever is left over. As in mercenaries, there will be a 12 hour window to claim that mercenary. Day 0 will not end until each player owns a mercenary.

There will be no night actions allowed on Night 0.

Banned roles are: Vigilante/Assassin/Poisoner/Day Vigilante/Mayor/Gladiator. A lynch must occur every day, and a night kill must be made every night...until playoffs.

Within the game there will be three tiers, just like in the source. Players will be randomly sorted into the tiers, or groups. Within each group there will be 6 town players and 2 scum players. This will occur after the conclusion of Day 0.

Each scum team will be aware of whom the other scum are in the separate tier. However, players may only vote, and kill, players in their tier.

During day 3, with 12 (or so) players remaining, the game will enter playoffs and all alive members will compete against each other. The game may end immediately if scum outweighs town. This will be a traditional game from here on out.

Kanz alrdy does. Alany would just vote whoever he says because she has no free will. Pretty sure alany isn't even real and just kanz faking so he could control 2 teams.

You have three separate games that interact with each other but only can vote for people in "their game".

Now the Day 0 thing is a bit wacky, but hey, I wanted to try it.

Doesnt look like its gonna happen. Its why I wanted to run a game right after the last ended.

24 players is pretty much non negotiable due to game mechanics.

I would, however, be willing to run a single 8 man game with the split being 6 town and 2 scum with every other rule remaining. Teams of course would be the top 8 teams.

Board 8 mafia rarely takes any risks. Maybe weird roles. But that's it really.

I would play this game as far as the quirky mechanics are concerned, but it's just not a good time for me to be playing mafia with fantasy football starting up and also classic WoW.

Interested in playing another mafia game but not one this huge i dont think
