I mean, a majority of them are less than a foot wider than a Honda Civic.

This is why Americans always win arguments on Xbox Live

They can just throw that in the other person's face

It's really not fair

I mean, width variability is kind of limited by parking spaces and lanes (though they seem to make some that are too wide for a parking space anyway). The real problem is the length and the height which basically has no limit

The thing is they are usually pretty useless as passenger vehicles, unless they're even more massive, or you wanna unsafely ride in the bed. I know it's just anecdotal evidence but I have to say that in my experience, being able to seat four or five people in a car comes in handy way more often than pickup truck capabilities

Must be a regional thing, around here I still see way more SUV size vehicles than pickups.

I've got a Smart, but other cars I looked at were the Mini, an Audi, or a VW Bug.

Mine seats five though be it cramped. Could do six in a pinch but then that leaves even the driver possibly cramped. 4 is fine though provided the people in the front give those in the back a little leg room by pulling the seat foward a little. Then again the only people who ever ride with me and sit in the back are short so thats a non issue. I can sit fine in the back its just not the most confortable thing in the world if the person sitting in front of me is also pushing 6ft. If they are short its fine then.

Personally I dont like having a lot of passengers though as all the extra talking can be distracting. I dont plan on having kids (doing a good job of it im 30 without any) so once my sisters start driving themselves I'll likely rarely have a lot of passengers.
