i dont really care but i dont see how this is censorship either way, it didnt fundamentally change anything about the game, it was a tiny random asset

i think the company made a mistake by responding to it at all, that seemed to fuel the cycle of people getting upset about it either way. if they had just changed it without saying anything it probably wouldve died more quickly

also i think part of what made this blow up is because someone found some old discord messages of a few of the devs complaining about feminists and sjws. which doesnt have anything to do with the game but it came up at the same time

The assets are part of the vision. Thankfully common sense has prevailed though and nothing has been changed.

i would consider a "vision" to be major gameplay elements, overall art direction, story, etc. not a single tiny asset where nothing changes when you get rid of it. i'm not really interested in arguing about it though

Since this is the first ive heard of this game and the outrage is so inconsequential, I can only assume this is marketing "beef" or outrage for promotional purposes.
