I nearly shat a brick when I was doing that last Hangman's Gambit and realized it was 53, not 03.

I'm certainly a fan of the message of "Series should know when to end, and shouldn't continue just to appease a rabid fanbase nor to appease their executives".

And it's a cute middle finger to the rabid fanbase of DR that they're basically saying "lol none of this ever happened", which was always true from the get-go anyway, because it's fiction.

I figured that it was the end of the Hope's Peak Academy saga, but not the end of Danganronpa as a whole (hence Tsumugi constantly shuffling between cosplaying characters from previous games, because cheap fanservice).
