Although at this point, technically, they are both historically inaccurate...

I'd say 2 is the better sequel, but i dont really like it. Whereas 3 always puts a smile on my face.

I really like them both, have done since childhood. But if I'm picking one of them then it is BTTF2.

Marty travelling to the future in part 2 is a major plot hole, as that should make him vanish from the continuum, and thus, his future self wouldn't exist. Unless it's an alternative future, but that's not what the movie ever implied it to be. The future is fascinating and amusing, however, as it's a semi-parodic, non-dystopic version of an 80's vision of the future. The alternative 80s in contrast is bleak. The second thing that makes Part 2 weaker is, perhaps ironically, its diversity in settings. Marty travels to the future, then to an alternative 80s, then to the 50s (again) before retuning to his own time. That's about 30 minutes for each era, and 15 for the finale in Marty's time.

Part 3 doesn't break time travel rules and sticks with one era (for the most). I did say that part 2 had a finale, but it's rather anticlimactic. Part 3 has a thrilling train journey. But I don't think I can ever watch the move again, because, well... the coolest character in the franchise, the iconic DeLorean, being destroyed in the end is almost heartbreaking.

Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images.

I find Part 3 to be the more enjoyable film.

I enjoy the focus on Marty and Doc Brown's friendship in part 3.

Its kind of hard tbh.

II has some of the best dramatic moments that arent the clocktower scene and no Biff, you leave her alone

But I dont care what anyone says, Part 3 is just tons of fun
