I asked you guys that day I was at GameStop and had the choice between Star Ocean and Tales of Zestiria and you assholes made me get star Ocean.

And you are to blame for this. Take responsibility for a game a got almost 2 years ago and STILL havent finished.

I HATE Fire Emblem Three Houses, But at least Im going to actually finish the game. Apparently Im close to the end of SO4 and I just... dont give a shit about any of it. The story, the characters, the music, it all sucks. And it looks like shit.

1. Play more, there are tons of worse ones if you've played a lot a lot of jrpgs

Also Ive played Altelier Iris Grand Phantasm, about as bad as you can get without being objectively bad. Im good.

I haven't played the Star Ocean series (though I don't hear many good things about it) but Zestiria was a total letdown. Armatization sucked because of the very limited movesets, and the skill system is one of the worst things I've ever seen. The best part about it is the Go Shiina music.

I enjoyed SO3 and SO4 years ago, put in at least 20 hours each. SO3 stopped cuz the disk was bad, and SO4 bored me once I got the Angel girl.

I enjoyed both, but after I played Vesperia and other Tales games, I couldnt go back. I bought SO3 HD and it was painful after a certain point. SO4 I never went back to

It's funny how Fire Emblem Three Houses has such a vocal minority on how bad it is, when most consider it quite good.

If we're being honest Star Ocean is a bad series with one A+ game in Star Ocean 2.

In our defense, Zestiria is also the worst Tales of game I've played.

So basically you asked us to choose between the worst Star Ocean and the worst Tales of. Star Ocean 4 is still worse than Zestiria though.

I've tried to play through SO2 twice and haven't been able to stick with it for more than a few hours. I couldn't stand the battle system. I haven't played any other game in the series.

You're right, actually. It's SO2 for me. I despise SO3 for what it does to the overall story of the series (i.e. for how it makes SO2 completely irrelevant).
