You can't deny the fact that she is a more successful version of Madonna for the current generation of today. But second, I think every young female pop singer inevitably dons that mantle at some point, at least for a short while. My problem with people like Britney being compared to someone like Madonna is that Madonna is in total control of her career and her music, evolves, and usually has something to say. Britney, though catchy, never evolves and is still singing songs about hot boys and clubs which she didn't write herself anyway. Gaga, though pretentious, is much more self-made and adventurous that way. As for Swift...eh, I dunno. I don't dislike her personally but aside from being a name everybody knows I don't see her having a lasting cultural impact. --- Clairvoyant, paranormal enthusiast, author.
