I'm working overnights in a residential facility. Everyone is asleep for another three and a half hours or so. I'm just hearing random noises constantly.

Easily the best found footage movie I've ever seen. Even if you don't like the genre give it a shot.

Yo I was literally thinking about watching that earlier. Opted for Mandy Lane instead.

Extremely. Unlike 99% of found footage, it has a very good reason for found footage, and uses the format for scares you couldn't get without the genre. One scene in particular is going to stick with me forever.

But I guess the point was dude was a giant pussy and that's why he willingly went to the park bench at the end.

Horror/thrillers are supposed to keep you on the edge of your seat, not just leave you wondering how long it'll take...

He was way too trusting, and probably a little desperate too, although tbf, I could understand taking the chance at the park given it was so public and that was the first time we saw Josef be violent.

I was way more bothered with how easily he gave up with the cops.

Not quite normal, but he was nave about his own protections. IDK why he wouldn't go to a police station with the footage.

Compare it to the Blair witch project, how much scarier is it?

Didn't he go to the police and they didn't believe him? Or was that before he had the footage?

And lol guy just straight up murdering Aaron with an axe in broad daylight in a public park and no one saw it.

Honestly, that part I can believe. Shit like that has actually happened in places, some way more egregious than that.

I did like the little twist at the end where he just added the video to his library, like he's done it many times before.

I loved that. I also loved the implications that his sister knows and tries to cover it up. Telling the guy to leave the house but refusing to say he's dangerous.

If that was even his sister. The sequel didn't really expand on that but I just figured it was just someone else in on it.

I could see that. I felt like the second one had more character to it (maybe because it... focused on the new character, too >_>) and the pacing felt different.

I thought it was good though - if they just filmed the same exact thing as the original movie just with a new victim it wouldn't be as exciting.

What other movies would you recommend?

I've seen a few lately (1st Summoning, Butterfly Kisses, Char Man... only one of those was worthwhile) and I'm kind of intrigued by the genre. I hadn't even considered Creep/2 to be found footage films to be honest just because they have such a different vibe to them. Also loved Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County.
