Cell companies already have the infrastructure/backbone set up and since it is wireless they don't need to run a fiber line to the premises.

yeah, but hopefully this'll get cable companies to actually put fiber in more places. Cuz as soon as this 5g home internet roles out, (if it does to my area) then im switching and never looking back. until att gets their shit together.
