Okay I don't know what a fine of 5,000 really meant in 1869, but even today that could damage somebody easily. Thats around 2.5 years of Henry Ford's "$5 a day" like 40 years later. Or you get hard labor or 15 years time. Don't fuck with it. This bill has the added security feature of making the person counterfeiting the bill go over and come to terms with his punishments to make damn sure he knows its worth the risk. ... I just sort of read "quality" and "strip" in that URL, and now I'm just imagining a really high-end gentleman's club where you tip the dancers with $500s.
