I don't do restaurants alone. But lately on saturdays I walk over to Burger King and eat breakfast in there,today it was just a group of old people in there but then another guy came in and eat by himself too.

Sure I could go in my car to the drive thru and eat at my place, but I guess its a nice change of scenary then eatin in my apartment.

All the time. Before school, during work. I don't care if people are thinking about me and I'm very comfortable in my own company. Me not having a ton of friends isn't going to stop me from being hungry.

I've gone to a diner for breakfast/lunch alone on occation, not often though. There's also the Chinese buffet, which I'll go to at any hour by myself or not.

I travel a lot for my job so I often end up in restaurants eating alone

If I'm alone, I usually don't eat inside.

as far as OP goes, i probably spend 5-6 hours a day sitting in fast food environments because i'm in a really less than stellar living situation. i've applied to a bazillion jobs and am actively trying to move on from it, but 'easier said than done'. One of the ladies at Dunkin keeps hitting on me and trying to make me go home with her when her shift ends. o_O

I do for lunch all the time. Not close enough with any of my coworkers to eat with them.

Yea I'm not sure if I could do a restaurant where a waitress is tending to me and such tho hmmm if shes single.

Why wouldnt you? I love to go out to eat, Im not letting anything stop me. I usually get great service when Im alone as well.

I feel like eating at a sit down restaurant alone is like the one thing Id feel weird about doing alone. Like I go to movies alone or sit in for fast food on my own often enough, but it just seems sad to go out somewhere special and get a table for one.

not because I think the act itself would be particularly weird or I'm worried about it from that angle but more because I am perfectly content to just eat at home and in general I'd prefer not having to go outside. So bothering to go out somewhere better be for more than just food, eg meeting up with friends

I've started going to Panera like every morning and reading while having breakfast. Before so long as a restaurant had a bar or patio, I'd always opt to eat there opposed to getting takeout
