And by talked I mean he began ranting to me about how the current Korean President is a fake, and how Leftists sabotaged the Illuminati President.

i thought Id be safe because Im a foreigner but his English was actually really good. He was wearing a shirt that was the Korean flag with the words Release President Park lol.

i guess its something to look forward to back home if Trump loses next year <_<

I mean, it was also simultaneously a pro-President Park rally, and even crazier a pro-Benjamin Netanyahu rally. It had a similar vibe as a lot of right-wing rallies in the US. Lots of signs in English. I don't know Korean politics too well, but I think there's something like a small group of evangelicals that believe the previous three leaders are divinely guided.

Well President Park was basically pretty similar to Hilary Clinton in a lot of ways, I suppose, mired by controversy but elected in due to her family's legacy. But obviously the difference is that she got elected, and the controversy immediately ended up presidency. Moon Jae-In seems like a decent guy, but tbh I've heard people complain about him too in a pretty violent manner. I just think every president who isn't giving SK some 80's to 90's sorta growth without any sacrifices is gonna get shit on.

Eh.....not really. Controversial yes. But Park was a puppet figure-head and an idiot who let business CEO's and cult leaders take advantage of her and run the nation.

For all the faults you can throw at Hilary, she certainly wasn't weak or inexperienced.

If you think the complaints about Moon are just because he isn't getting the country to have unrealistic growth spurts like it had in the 70s and 80s, then you're not really paying attention to Korean politics.

'Decent guy'? Roflmao. Moon's no better than Park the impeached bitch in terms of controversies, corruption, incompetence, etc, if not even worse. He's just insidious enough and not stupid enough to not have those in blatant enough manners to justify another impeachment.

Liberals tend to want more peaceful talks and reconnect the Koreas either literally or economically.

Conservatives tend to be more hawkish and still view the Korean war as ongoing/despise communism.
