Who's ready for Titan? It's dropping tomorrow at event time. I honestly have no idea if I'm ready, my wind team that I beat Odin with was Cloud (USB1, AASB, glint, AOSB), Bartz (BSB, USB1, AASB), Zack (CSB, BSB), Tyro (DVG, USB4), and Elarra (USB1,USB2). I'll give it a try with that team and see how it goes. My understanding is you want to just build up your SB bar while in phase 1 and then unload everything as fast as possible since the later phases are more damaging. I haven't really read up on it all that much though.

Everything except Zack's chain is available on the Anima Lens shop as well (and Passion Salsa in Global) I have almost everything there except Cloud USB2 which I'm considering getting with Anima Lens, but I should probably wait until after those free Golden Week draws to be safe.

But man I'm soooo pissed I got Earth Weak Odin on the magic pixel, but I can't finish him off. 3 times this happened and he always squeaks the win. I can stall Alph's Awakening for the third phase but Maria needs to use Awakening to take the second phase, I made OK an entrustbot so the only time he can use his AOSB is during the elemental drives on phase 3 which does lousy damage. Ugh I may need to get Maria's AOSB off the dream select just to clear that pixel.

I dunno if that extra hit will help that much, seems like Alph struggles at the last phase even with Titan's huge multiplier. Maybe I can try to cheese Titan like that video and then use the Magicite to beat Odin?

I did the core realm banner, got 3 Tyro LMR dupes and a dupe of his USB4, *groan* what a waste of 15 mythril...

That video is completely ridiculous. Doing basically nothing for the first 44 seconds? Barret USB1? I hope a more conventional approach can work, I don't think I could keep everything straight in my head for a 1:30 fight.

First Titan attempt... this seems doable. I think I did around 85% and that was with Cloud's AOSB going off right after chain expired. I need to figure out when to use that appropriately - if I can skip a couple walls that would make a huge difference. I think I should also remember I can break walls with Bartz's OSB... it's basically a wasted turn if he does anything else when a wall is up.

I am actually wondering if Cloud's USB2 would be better than his awakening for this fight just because you can use it more than once. The chase is not that much weaker than a second Raging Quadstrike. On the other hand using just his glint and his USB1 was pretty good.

Bartz got in some good hits in awakened mode and he was good for building chain but overall he's not that great here... at least not with what I have. Having to cast his BSB multiple times really sucks. His USB3 probably would help a lot. Surprisingly, his OSB turned out to be more useful than I expected, I was spamming it at the end of the fight to break rage mode, and then because he had nothing else to do after the mega skill slash at the end.

Tyro's awakening would be nice mostly for the unlimited hones. He did fine for most of the fight but he had nothing to do for the last few rounds.

Oh, forgot to mention that he seems way easier to stay alive against than Odin. I made it all the way to the final ejection move on my first try, only losing one character in the last phase. He's just way tankier, with the walls and the 3 million HP.

I got about 2/3 of the fight, I couldn't get past the wall at the third phase. But at least it does seem possible if I get a few more things. His damage is really manageable with Penelo's Awakening/USB

Maybe after Golden Week I can get the stuff to beat him? Gonna pray for Cloud AOSB and Zidane USB2 from those free draws. If not I'll have to buy Cloud AOSB with the Dream Select.

Ugggghhh. Cloud's "finisher" USB went off about .2 seconds after the chain expired. It still dealt 150k so I'm pretty sure this would have been a victory. Oh well. I'll definitely get there, this was only attempt #2, but I think it'll probably be tomorrow.

I've tried Titan a bunch more times today and every one of them has been worse than my runs yesterday. It's pretty frustrating, breaking savage mode without pushing him into phase 2 is really tough, I've only managed to skip phase 2 completely once and that was in my second try ever yesterday.

The more I do this fight the more I hate the stupid wall gimmicks and the level 3 rage. I've lost so many fights because his rage goes up right before I land a hit, or I get a doublecast trigger at the wrong time that pushes him into wall stage.

Finally did it! I hope the next three runs are easier. The funny thing is what I was trying to do in this run didn't even work. Bartz was supposed to break rage mode and then Cloud's AOSB was supposed to go off - but Bartz doublecast triggered and pushed the rage back up to 1. Cloud did 40k x20 +99k when he should have done at least 200k more if rage was 0. But I kept going and it barely worked.

Not bad overall, with the big win getting an instaheal for FF8. Was tempted on the Focused draw but for me it looks like a bad pull. I already have a 2.0 dark chain and I'd have Ignis busy with his BSB to use his chain, plus I don't care about Cor, Ursula, or Tellah. That just leaves the two earth chains which isn't enough to justify pulling (and I've been alright with Ingus' 1.0 chain so far).

Man this one was annoying, Penelo's Awakening made his damage a joke barring the last phase, but those immunity phases are such a pain in the ass! I thought they only triggered in the third and fourth phase but he still used the physical one after he was under 80% somehow! It's such a weird fight that it would look like an easy sub25 but then pailing out of nowhere!

Ah well I never have to fight to this bastard again thankfully. (unless the datamined fourth difficulty tormerts are still gonna be a thing...)

You don't really need DPS awakenings for this, I got the sub30 with Penelo being the only awakening. Vaan USB 1&2 make him a deadly DPS and you can get both of them from the anima lens shop. His dualcast isn't there though but it makes the fight a lot quicker since he caps really quickly, and he builds chain like crazy. With him and Ashe USB1 + gathering storm they build chain so rapidly they cut through Zodiark like butter, even when he gets his protect & shell back up.

Vayne is poverty too, I only have his SSB and OSB (and BSB but it's useless for this fight) but that SSB gives party instant cast which I used to have Ashe use her AOSB in the middle to try and skip an immunity, summon magicite and refresh chain.

Yeah, I wanted Vaan USB1+USB2 combo a lot back in the day, but I'm reluctant to spend 2000 lenses on him now since I never use him for anything else. I don't have the healer awakening either, so maybe if I get it I will spend on Vaan.

I don't think I'll do the ones left, FF11 has too many bad relics, 14 has nothing I want besides Alph chain and FF15 is too risky.
